Our saunas are crafted from high-quality, thermally treated Finnish Spruce, known for its durability and elegant appearance. Thermally treated Finnish spruce is 25% more thermally efficient than cedar, ensuring superior heat retention. To further enhance longevity, we use bitumen roof shingles, stainless steel hinges, and durable fixings—providing long-term protection against the elements.

We've designed our saunas to offer plenty of space to relax and unwind. The wide benches allow for full reclining, while the
functional layout ensures maximum comfort. The heater is strategically placed at the far end, enhancing safety and optimizing the available space.

The Bayther Barrel Sauna blends traditional craftsmanship with a sleek, modern aesthetic. Its 8mm tempered glass door and minimalist design create a sophisticated look that complements any outdoor setting.

Electrical Requirements:
- Hardwired installation required – this unit does not come with a standard plug.
- Requires a 32-amp connection; a standard 10-amp outlet is not sufficient.
- Installation must be carried out by a licensed electrician in accordance with local electrical codes.

Our barrel saunas are crafted from continuous lengths of thermally treated traditional Finnish spruce — a timber renowned for its strength, durability, and natural resistance to decay.

Thermal treatment not only enhances the wood’s longevity but also improves performance — offering 25–30% better insulation than cedar. This helps your sauna retain heat more efficiently, resulting in faster heat-up times and lower energy use.

At Bayther, we never use glues or splicing techniques in the construction of our saunas—just solid timber, crafted with care. Our thermally treated Finnish spruce is naturally durable and requires no fumigation with harmful or carcinogenic chemicals during import, ensuring a clean, non-toxic sauna experience.

All of our fixings are stainless steel designed to endure New Zealand's toughest weather conditions.

We use clear 8mm heat resistant tempered glass for all of our Sauna doors.

Our 6 person barrel sauna is delivered in a securely packed crate for protection during transport. Due to its size and weight, it requires assembly on-site and requires a crane or HIAB for home delivery.
